50 minutes sessions in the Mill Valley or San Rafael office. We begin by getting to know the problem as you see it, how it effects your life, what you have tried in the past to address this or other challenges, and how life might be more ideally imagined. This leads to a better holistic understanding of the problem, resources, and influences. Goals are collaboratively set, treatment frame and progress identified, all without setting up a dependence for the therapy–you own your progress inside and outside of therapy.
Benefit from a wide breadth of clinical experience offering a comprehensive and synergistic understanding of the neuro/psycho/social/biological physiological and environmental contexts and influences that can either act to sabotage or support your treatment outcome.
Access services through your client portal to easily manage forms, payments, and billing, and communicate seamlessly with your therapist.
Beyond the treatment room, outside of treatment exercises promote use of insight and skills in real-life, fostering independent practices to preserve and support ongoing growth.

Identify your partnering model, attachment style, and instinctive value structures. Learn how to set limits and negotiate needs and desires in healthy and constructive ways. This extended first session offers a cohesive over dis-jointed and time-pressured experience. Win-win for everyone.

Dr. Mason works with many individuals whose couple’s therapist has recommended adjunctive support to accelerate results in the couple’s therapy. Working individually can truly boost your results in couples as you receive laser focus on issues that may be interfering with the progress in your couple’s therapy. Even 1-2 sessions may effectively clear the block, heighten interpersonal awareness, and identify, clarify, and support communication needs for the couple’s therapy.
Because seeing an individual therapist during a couple’s therapy often increases the risk of relationship termination, it is vital that you choose an individual therapist with a trained perspective in relationship therapy. As Dr. Mason uses Gottman Couples Therapy in her work with clients, you can be assured that your Gottman
Therapy will not be derailed. Dr. Mason also works with clients who are receiving Safe Conversations therapy/coaching, Mindfulness-
Based Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
Dr. Mason has also worked in coordination with faith-based pre-marital therapies and Addiction Specialists to support relational changes that may un-complicate the work you are focusing on in another therapy.
